Data Retention

World wide, data retention is the foundation in protecting your company’s liability concerns. Abusix understands those concerns and the importance of your compliance and business needs. Whether your needs are driven by local, state, or government regulations, or simply structured on your legal department requirements, we have you covered.

AbuseHQ allows you to manage your own retention periods for the data you care about the most, allowing you to keep that data more secure.

Customizing how long you retain your data can be done within a few steps outlined below.

To find your Data Retention settings, follow these steps:

Click on your AbuseHQ username in the top right corner of the window and select Settings.

This will bring you to the General options under the Settings menu. Here is where you will find the Data Retention options.

Once your changes have been made, click on the Save Settings button before you leave this screen to apply those changes.

Our Data Retention Standards:

  • Report Retention
Report data consists of all of the reports sent into AbuseHQ regarding your network. The max time that AbuseHQ will store this data is 365 Days, the default setting is 30 Days.

  • Event Retention
Each incoming notification that is handled by AbuseHQ is defined as an Event. Event details are typically what our customers want to keep the longest. The max time that AbuseHQ will store this data is 365 Days, the default setting is 30 Days.

  • Subscriber Retention
Subscriber data is the identifying data that AbuseHQ uses to assign a user to an event. The max time that AbuseHQ will store this data is 365 Days, the default setting is 365 Days.

  • Case Retention
Case data is made up of all of the details incorporated in an AbuseHQ case. Because most of the data involved in the case may not be relevant or important, our customers typically decide to make case retention shorter. The max time that AbuseHQ will store this data is 365 Days, the default setting is 180 Days.
